Job Description

The Superintendent - Commercial Interiors - Alexandria, VA

  • Lead all on-site construction activities for corporate interior buildout projects from mobilization through closeout.
  • Promote and enforce a proactive safety culture while ensuring compliance across all subcontractors and site personnel.
  • Coordinate daily field operations to maintain schedule milestones, quality standards, and budget objectives.
  • Partner with Project Managers to develop and execute project schedules, sequencing plans, and logistical strategies.
  • Manage subcontractor performance, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to specification.
  • Maintain detailed daily reports, site documentation, and project records.
  • Review construction documents, identify potential issues proactively, and implement solutions before they impact the project.
  • Oversee punch list completion, commissioning activities, and successful project turnover to owners and architects.
  • Coordinate site logistics, temporary facilities, utilities, and procurement of long-lead materials.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal team members.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent - Commercial Interiors - Alexandria, VA should have:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Superintendent managing interior office construction projects.
  • 5+ years of experience within commercial general contracting.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, architectural design, engineering principles, and building systems.
  • Proven ability to read, interpret, and coordinate construction drawings and project documentation.
  • Track record of successfully delivering projects on schedule while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive project teams in deadline-driven environments.
