With work based in both Madison and Milwaukee, this role is pivotal in coordinating on-site activities and managing subcontractors to deliver successful project outcomes.

Job Description

The Superintendent - Commercial will:

  • Lead all onsite construction activities from mobilization through project closeout.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and daily field operations.
  • Develop and maintain short-term and long-term project schedules.
  • Enforce site safety requirements and promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Serve as the primary onsite representative for clients, architects, and consultants.
  • Monitor project quality and ensure work aligns with drawings and specifications.
  • Resolve field challenges and coordinate solutions with project management teams.
  • Maintain daily reports, site documentation, and project communication.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent - Commercial should have:

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience within commercial building and construction.
  • Experience leading ground-up construction and/or building additions.
  • Proven ability to independently run projects valued at $2M+.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and site logistics.
  • Experience coordinating multiple subcontractor trades simultaneously.
  • Professional, polished communication skills and strong client presence.
  • Industrial or manufacturing construction experience is highly desirable.
  • Background with a larger commercial general contractor is a plus.
