Job Description

As a Superintendent - Construction - New Haven, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing all day-to-day field operations from project start through completion
  • Supervising subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel
  • Maintaining project schedules and driving milestone completion
  • Coordinating with Project Managers, architects, engineers, and ownership teams
  • Conducting daily safety meetings and enforcing OSHA compliance
  • Reviewing project plans, specifications, and construction documents
  • Managing site logistics, material deliveries, and workforce planning
  • Performing quality control inspections throughout all phases of construction
  • Tracking project progress and identifying potential delays
  • Resolving field issues proactively and efficiently
  • Maintaining daily reports, site logs, and project documentation
  • Coordinating inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience in construction
  • Experience managing commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, or institutional projects
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and field operations
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
  • Experience managing subcontractors and maintaining project schedules
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of project safety requirements and OSHA standards
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with Procore or similar construction management software preferred
  • OSHA 30 Certification preferred
