Job Description

The responsibilities of a Superintendent:

  • Lead all field operations from project kickoff through final completion
  • Manage day-to-day site activities, subcontractors, vendors, and project logistics
  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules to ensure milestone achievement
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, clients, architects, and ownership groups
  • Maintain jobsite safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance
  • Conduct subcontractor meetings and drive accountability across all trades
  • Resolve field issues proactively to keep projects on schedule and within budget
  • Utilize Procore for project documentation, reporting, and communication
  • Monitor construction progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
  • Ensure successful project closeout, punch list completion, and client satisfaction

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent should have:

  • 5-10+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction
  • Experience managing interiors and ground-up projects preferred
  • Background in Multifamily, Mixed-Use, Retail, Hospitality, Restaurant, or Office construction
  • Strong scheduling and project coordination experience
  • Proficiency with Procore
  • Ability to lead subcontractors and maintain strong jobsite organization
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Northern Virginia, DC, and Maryland project locations
