A well-established, privately held general contractor with a strong pipeline of projects is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead on-site operations across a diverse portfolio of commercial builds. This Superintendent role offers autonomy, leadership responsibility, and clear progression within a people-focused business.

Job Description

As a Superintendent, you will report into senior operations leadership and act as an equal partner to the Project Manager in delivering projects successfully.

  • Lead day-to-day site operations on projects ranging from $5M-$30M
  • Own project scheduling, sequencing, and field execution from start to finish
  • Manage subcontractors and ensure all work aligns with project timelines and quality standards
  • Enforce safety procedures and maintain compliance across all site activities
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to drive progress
  • Oversee inspections, punch lists, and project closeout
  • Travel regionally depending on assigned projects

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent should have:

    • 5-10+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction
    • Proven experience managing ground-up or renovation projects ($5M-$30M)
    • Background in sectors such as education, healthcare, retail, or light industrial
    • Strong scheduling and site leadership capability (e.g., Procore, Primavera, Microsoft Project)
    • Ability to take full ownership of site execution and drive performance
    • Willingness to travel within region as required
    • Strong work ethic, reliability, and team-oriented mindset
