Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily field operations for multiple commercial construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to maintain productivity and project timelines.
  • Monitor project schedules, identify potential delays, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Maintain strong relationships with owners, clients, architects, and subcontractors through proactive communication and accountability.
  • Enforce jobsite safety protocols, quality control standards, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Engineers on scheduling, documentation, budgeting, and project coordination.
  • Review plans and specifications to identify potential conflicts and resolve field issues efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, track progress, and communicate project updates to leadership.
  • Oversee site logistics, material deliveries, inspections, and coordination of construction activities.
  • Represent the company professionally while delivering a positive client experience and ensuring successful project completion.

The Successful Applicant

What Does a Successful Candidate Look Like?

  • 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in commercial construction.
  • Well-rounded experience with ground-up construction, renovations, and reconstruction projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage subcontractors, owners, and clients effectively.
  • Proven ability to keep projects on schedule while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and budget.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and accountable, with the ability to resolve jobsite challenges independently.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Organized and comfortable using construction management technology and software.
  • Experience with pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB) is a plus.
  • Team-oriented mindset and ability to thrive in a close-knit, relationship-driven company culture.
  • Ability to oversee projects within a 75-mile radius of the Brighton/Clarkston, Michigan area.
