Job Description

The Superintendent - Ground-Up Commercial - Baltimore will:

  • Lead all day-to-day construction activities on active project sites.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners to maintain project schedules and milestones.
  • Drive project safety, quality control, and production performance.
  • Develop, update, and manage short-term look-ahead schedules to ensure successful project execution.
  • Collaborate closely with foremen, project teams, and fellow Superintendents to maintain efficient field operations.
  • Serve as the primary on-site leader on smaller projects and oversee multiple field personnel on larger projects.
  • Manage construction projects from sitework through building systems commissioning.
  • Ensure successful delivery of complex at-risk construction projects while maintaining client satisfaction.

The Successful Applicant

The Superintendent - Ground-Up Commercial - Baltimore will have:

  • 5+ years of Superintendent or field leadership experience with a General Contractor.
  • Experience delivering vertical ground-up construction projects.
  • Strong preference for candidates who advanced through the trades, particularly from a carpentry background.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple trades and understand all major construction systems.
  • Experience with scheduling software and construction technology platforms such as Primavera P6, AutoDesk, PlanGrid, Submittal Exchange, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with secure government, mission-critical, SCIF, clean room, or defense-related projects is highly desirable.
  • Active security clearance is a plus but not required.
  • Must be comfortable working hands-on in the field and assisting with construction activities when needed.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
