Madison, Wisconsin Permanent USD130,000 - USD150,000 per year View Job Description
A long-standing Wisconsin GC is looking for an experienced Commercial Superintendent to take ownership of complex projects from mobilization through turnover. You'll have the backing of a strong PM team, preconstruction resources and modern BIM/VDC capabilities without the bureaucracy of a massive national contractor
  • Established brand in WI construction, 150-year-old GC where work comes to you
  • Mid-market autonomy. Big-company resources. Blue chip projects

About Our Client

A fifth-generation, family-owned commercial contractor founded in Madison in 1875, with a long-standing reputation across Wisconsin. The company works across commercial, industrial/manufacturing, education, healthcare/senior living, religious, government and science/technology markets, giving Superintendents exposure to technically challenging projects rather than repetitive work. The company has deliberately stayed in the mid-market sweet spot: enough resources, technology and infrastructure to tackle complicated projects, but small enough that good people have autonomy and visibility with leadership. Their current team is approximately 120 employees, and they've continued growing while maintaining a strong emphasis on long-term careers and internal relationships.

Job Description

  • Own field operations from project start through completion
  • Lead scheduling, sequencing, subcontractor coordination, and daily site activities
  • Maintain accountability for safety, quality, schedule, manpower and materials

  • Lead site meetings and maintain short-term and master schedules
  • Monitor productivity, deliveries and overall jobsite progress
  • Drive quality control, safety and project closeout
  • Mentor Foremen and field personnel
  • Serve as the face of the company in the field, building strong owner and subcontractor relationships

  • Comfortable using modern construction technology, including BIM/VDC
  • Experience with ground-up commercial, industrial, healthcare, education or other complex projects is highly valuable

What's on Offer
