Job Description

The responsibilities of an Assistant Superintendent:

  • Assist in the day-to-day field operations of a large multifamily ground-up construction project
  • Coordinate and oversee assigned scopes of work from start through completion
  • Manage subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify potential schedule or construction issues
  • Lead a designated area of the project with increasing autonomy and responsibility
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Superintendent, Project Management team, and trade partners
  • Support project scheduling, inspections, quality control, and punch list activities
  • Maintain site safety standards and help ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
  • Utilize Procore and MS Project to assist with project tracking and documentation
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on assigned scopes

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Superintendent should have:

  • 6+ years of construction experience
  • Ground-up multifamily or hotel construction experience required
  • Experience with both concrete podium and wood-frame construction required
  • Ability to independently manage a project phase or major trade scope
  • Strong understanding of all phases of commercial construction
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and field operations
  • Proficiency with Procore and/or MS Project preferred
  • OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required
  • Open to local candidates and qualified travelers

  • Base Salary: $115,000 - $140,000
  • Project Bonus: Approximately $15,000
