Job Description

The Superintendent will:

  • Lead all on-site construction activities for a $78M ground-up middle school project in Stafford County, VA.
  • Manage daily field operations, schedules, subcontractors, and site logistics.
  • Coordinate sitework, construction sequencing, and milestone completion.
  • Ensure project safety, quality, and compliance standards are maintained.
  • Collaborate with project managers, owners, architects, and trade partners.
  • Drive schedule performance and proactively resolve field issues.
  • Conduct progress meetings and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
  • Oversee inspections, punch list activities, and project closeout processes.
  • Mentor field staff and support Assistant Superintendents as needed.
  • Contribute to successful project delivery while maintaining strong client relationships.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent should have:

  • Experience serving as a Superintendent or high-level Assistant Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
  • Ability to manage field operations, subcontractors, and project schedules.
  • Experience with ground-up construction.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work on projects throughout Northern Virginia.
