Job Description

The Construction Superintendent - Healthcare and life Science Renovations will be responsible for:

  • Oversee and manage the successful execution of lab and life science construction projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with project teams, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure efficient work-flow and timely completion.
  • Lead site personnel, providing guidance, mentoring, and supervision to ensure the highest levels of safety, productivity, and performance.
  • Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and audits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards, maintaining a strong commitment to quality control and assurance.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, maintaining open lines of communication and addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Manage project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, daily logs, and progress reports, to ensure accurate record-keeping and facilitate smooth project communication.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and value engineering to enhance project outcomes and client satisfaction.

The Successful Applicant

The Construction Superintendent - Healthcare and life Science Renovations will have:

  • Proven experience as a Superintendent, ideally with a focus on lab and life science projects.
  • Solid understanding of construction principles, methods, and techniques, with expertise in healthcare or life science environments.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully managing diverse construction teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • Valid construction-related certifications and licenses (CSL)
