If you're looking for a role that allows you to grow into a leader with a top firm in Columbus, this could be the role for you.***Apply now for 24 hour resume review***Job DescriptionThe Superintendent will be responsible for: Develop, monitor and maintain a project schedule in a collaborative manner by gathering input from the project team during both Pre-construction and construction using lean principles as appropriate.Lead the effort in the on-boarding and contract negotiations with trade partners and 3rd party vendors and ensure that the buyout is in alignment with the project budget.Work with the Pre-construction team, architects, engineers and trade partners to coordinate the BIM and oversee any conflict resolution.Effectively communicate the project status to client and to company leadership using detailed project reporting related to budget, schedule, quality, safety and changes on the project.Conduct weekly OAC meetings and provide all required reports and documentation to ensure all stakeholders are informed of project status and potential issues.Conduct coordination meetings with all trades, vendors and key personnel on a weekly basis.Provide monthly invoices and oversee all documentation and approvals needed to ensure timely funding for the project and subsequent payment to trade partners and vendors.Work closely with the client, architect and engineers to control and manage any change in scope and provide all impacts and documentation of such to allow for a timely decision to be made, such as cost, schedule and quality implications and obtain the Owner's approval.Oversee the performance and quality of inspections throughout the project to eliminate the need for re-work and lead the effort to close out the project through proper punch list protocols.Collaboratively work with the project superintendent, trade partners and client to develop and enforce a project safety plan.Assist with the documentation of project scope and the plan development and verify that the design meets the contractual obligation on a periodic basis.Provide technical assistance in the selection of other partners, subcontractors and suppliers required to complete the projectOversee the design documents and ensure that version control is always maintained with all members of the team.Collaborate on the creation of project phasing plans with project team and align with schedule and estimated costs.Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. experience as a Superintendent managing K-12, higher education, or large-scale commercial construction projects.Proven experience overseeing ground-up and renovation projects within active educational environments.Successful delivery of K-12 projects ranging from $10M-$75M+ in construction value.Strong understanding of school construction requirements, phasing plans, and occupied campus coordination.Experience managing projects while minimizing disruptions to students, faculty, and school operations.Complete understanding of construction means, methods, scheduling, sequencing, and project execution.Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate all construction documents, including architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings.Strong knowledge of educational facility construction standards, building codes, and life safety requirements.Experience coordinating site logistics on active school campuses.Proven ability to develop and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules and drive subcontractor accountability.Strong leadership skills with experience managing subcontractors, field personnel, and assistant superintendents.Excellent communication skills with owners, school administrators, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors.Experience conducting weekly progress meetings and subcontractor coordination meetings.Ability to proactively identify and resolve field conflicts before impacting schedule or budget.Strong understanding of quality control processes and construction best practices.Experience managing punch lists, closeout activities, and project turnover procedures.Proven track record of completing projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.Knowledge of local building codes, permitting requirements, inspections, and agency coordination.Experience reviewing and managing RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and field documentation.Strong safety background with a commitment to enforcing OSHA regulations and company safety standards.OSHA 30 certification preferred.Experience managing site safety programs, toolbox talks, and daily jobsite inspections.Ability to coordinate multiple trades and maintain productivity in fast-paced construction environments.Experience with concrete, steel, masonry, interiors, and MEP coordination.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and other construction management software.Experience maintaining detailed daily reports,
