Job Description

The Superintendent - Large-Scale Ground Up - Bethesda, MD will be responsible for:

  • Lead all onsite construction activities from project startup through completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure milestone and completion dates are achieved.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and field personnel.
  • Enforce safety, quality, and productivity standards across the jobsite.
  • Conduct site meetings and maintain strong communication with project management teams and clients.
  • Review construction drawings and specifications to ensure proper project execution.
  • Proactively identify and resolve field issues to minimize schedule impacts.
  • Oversee projects ranging from approximately $30M to $200M+ across various commercial market sectors.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent - Large-Scale Ground Up - Bethesda, MD should have:

  • 5-10+ years of Superintendent experience with a General Contractor.
  • Proven experience leading ground-up commercial construction projects.
  • Experience on projects valued at $30M or greater.
  • Background in commercial, healthcare, multifamily, education, hospitality, industrial, public works, or similar markets.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing subcontractors and field teams.
  • Working knowledge of construction scheduling, safety standards, and quality control processes.
  • Ability to successfully manage projects throughout the DC Metro and Northern Virginia regions.
