This firm places a strong emphasis on culture both in the office and in the field, providing robust project support to ensure team members maintain the flexibility and work-life balance they need.Job Description The Superintendent will be responsible for: Manage all field operations from mobilization through substantial completion and final turnover.Review construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs to ensure work is executed correctly.Coordinate site activities with owners, tenants, inspectors, utility providers, and local authorities.Maintain and update short-term look-ahead schedules to ensure upcoming work is properly planned and staffed.Track construction progress and communicate schedule updates, concerns, and solutions to the project team.Conduct regular site inspections to identify safety concerns, quality issues, and construction deficiencies.Ensure compliance with all building codes, permit requirements, and jurisdictional regulations.Coordinate and schedule inspections with local authorities, testing agencies, and third-party consultants.Lead project startup, pre-installation, and pre-construction meetings with subcontractors.Review and verify subcontractor work for compliance with contract documents and company quality standards.Oversee site logistics, traffic flow, laydown areas, crane operations, and delivery schedules.Manage punch list activities and ensure timely completion of corrective work.Coordinate commissioning activities and support final inspections and occupancy requirements.Maintain accurate daily reports documenting manpower, weather conditions, work performed, deliveries, and notable events.Monitor field productivity and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce rework.Collaborate with the Project Manager to identify cost impacts, change order opportunities, and schedule risks.Ensure proper implementation of project-specific quality control and quality assurance programs.Foster a positive jobsite culture focused on safety, quality, teamwork, and accountability.Resolve jobsite conflicts and facilitate communication between trades to maintain project momentum.Verify that all work is installed according to approved shop drawings and manufacturer requirements.Coordinate structural steel, concrete, tilt-wall, precast, roofing, and MEP installation activities to maintain project sequencing.Manage project closeout documentation, including as-built drawings, warranties, operations manuals, and turnover packages.Support recruiting, training, onboarding, and development of field personnel.Maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders to ensure a successful project experience.Drive project completion while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantThe Superintendent will have:5+ years of field supervision experience preferred on industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution center projectsDemonstrated success managing ground-up projects from site work through final turnoverExperience coordinating multiple subcontractors and maintaining jobsite productivityProven ability to lead daily construction operations while ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgetsStrong knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environmentExperience conducting subcontractor coordination meetings, safety meetings, and progress meetingsAbility to identify and proactively resolve schedule, quality, and constructability issuesExperience managing site logistics, material deliveries, equipment usage, and workforce planningThorough understanding of quality control processes and project closeout proceduresAbility to read and interpret civil, structural, architectural, and MEP drawingsExperience with slab-on-grade construction, site utilities, paving, and building envelope installationKnowledge of Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software preferredAbility to maintain accurate daily reports, look-ahead schedules, and project documentationStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and hold subcontractors accountableExperience coordinating inspections, testing agencies, and jurisdictional approvalsAbility to effectively manage fast-track project schedules and changing project prioritiesExperience with commissioning, punch list management, and project turnover processesResults-oriented professional with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively with project managers, owners, engineers, architects, and internal operations teamsWillingness to travel as required and work flexible schedules to meet project demandsDemonstrated commitment to delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standardsExperience managing projects ranging from $25M-$100M+ in total construction value preferredUnderstanding of lean construction principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plusExperience supervising tilt-up concrete building construction from panel casting through erection preferredAbility to develop and manage three-week look-ahead schedules and recovery plans when necessaryWhat's on OfferThe Superintendent will be offered:$110,000 - $130,000 base salary dependent on experience10-15% bonus$800+ car allowancecell phone & gym allowanceannual raises401k matchMedical, Dental, and Vision insurance (PPO & HDHP)Opportunity to work on a variety of projectsProject support (Super, Asst.
