They provide extensive support on projects to ensure everyone has the flexibility and work/life balance necessary.Job DescriptionThe Superintendent will be responsible for:Provide overall field leadership and day-to-day management of all onsite construction activities from groundbreaking through project completion.Coordinate and oversee the work of all subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and corporate leadership team to execute project objectives and maintain operational efficiency.Develop and implement short-term work plans that align with the master project schedule and milestone dates.Schedule, coordinate, attend, and facilitate all required municipal, agency, third-party, and owner inspections.Ensure all work complies with project specifications, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.Interpret and thoroughly understand architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and landscape plans and specifications.Review construction documents regularly to identify potential conflicts, discrepancies, and coordination issues before they impact the project.Manage the submittal, shop drawing, and RFI process while ensuring timely responses and resolution of field-related issues.Review testing reports, inspection findings, and quality-control documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.Maintain detailed daily reports documenting manpower, weather conditions, project progress, site activities, and notable events.Capture and organize progress photographs to accurately document construction milestones and project status.Monitor project quality and workmanship, ensuring all installed work meets company and owner expectations.Lead subcontractor coordination meetings to communicate schedules, priorities, site logistics, and project updates.Proactively identify challenges, mitigate risks, and implement solutions to keep projects moving forward efficiently.Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, project managers, subcontractors, and local officials to resolve field issues and eliminate delays.Manage site logistics including material deliveries, equipment utilization, storage locations, and site access.Maintain accurate project records, field documentation, and correspondence using company software platforms and reporting systems.Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, PDF software, and construction management tools to manage project communications and documentation effectively.Promote and enforce a culture of safety, accountability, and professionalism across all jobsite activities.Conduct regular safety meetings, site inspections, and toolbox talks to ensure OSHA and company safety compliance.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantThe Superintendent will have:3+ years of proven experience managing large-scale commercial ground-up construction projects from sitework through final turnover.Previous experience on Light Industrial, Warehouse, Distribution Center, Manufacturing, or Cold Storage facilities preferred.Experience delivering commercial projects valued at $25M+ with responsibility for field operations, scheduling, and subcontractor management.Strong knowledge of tilt-wall, precast concrete, cast-in-place concrete, and structural steel construction methods.Demonstrated ability to successfully oversee complex building envelopes, foundation systems, and site development activities.Comprehensive understanding of commercial construction means, methods, sequencing, and best practices.Proven ability to develop, update, and maintain master project schedules while driving subcontractor accountability.Experience coordinating multiple trades and managing critical path activities to ensure on-time project completion.Ability to read, interpret, and analyze architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.Strong understanding of quality control procedures and the ability to ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications.Familiarity with OSHA requirements, jobsite safety standards, and proactive safety management practices.Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with owners, developers, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and internal leadership teams.Proven leadership skills with a track record of building relationships and fostering collaboration among project stakeholders.Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to make sound decisions in fast-paced construction environments.Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Self-motivated professional who takes ownership of project success and thrives in a hands-on leadership role.Ability to proactively identify project risks, mitigate schedule impacts, and resolve field challenges before they become major issues.Experience conducting subcontractor coordination meetings and managing day-to-day field operations.Proficiency with construction technology and project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, or similar platforms is preferred.What's on OfferThe Superintendent will be offered:Competitive base salary of $110,000 -
