Job Description

The Superintendent will lead field operations from project startup through completion, ensuring work is executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications. This individual will serve as the primary field leader responsible for workforce management, subcontractor coordination, productivity, quality control, and project execution.Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day field operations on mechanical and industrial construction projects from mobilization through closeout
  • Supervise craft labor, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel while ensuring adherence to project goals and safety standards
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and project resources to maximize productivity and efficiency
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, critical path activities, and field progress
  • Support project budgeting, cost control initiatives, resource planning, and productivity tracking
  • Interface with project managers, engineers, inspectors, clients, and other project stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, timesheets, material tracking, work orders, and billing support
  • Enforce safety programs, quality standards, and company policies while mentoring and developing field personnel

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent should have:

  • 7-10+ years of construction site leadership experience
  • Mechanical construction background is required
  • Experience within industrial, process piping, water/wastewater, utility, underground, manufacturing, energy, or infrastructure construction environments
  • Demonstrated experience supervising projects involving complex piping systems, pump stations, utility infrastructure, heavy rigging, and mechanical systems
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, drawings and specifications, line and grade, survey methods, scheduling, cost control, and safety programs
  • Knowledge of pump and equipment repair, basic electrical systems, and craft labor agreements
  • Strong leadership, communication, workforce management, and subcontractor coordination skills
  • OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification preferred
  • DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle review
