Job Description

The Superintendent - Multifamily Construction - Richmond, VA will:

  • Lead all on-site construction activities for multifamily renovation, interior repositioning, and adaptive reuse projects.
  • Manage project schedules, subcontractors, quality control, and safety initiatives from project start through completion.
  • Coordinate daily construction operations and ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
  • Serve as the primary on-site leader, maintaining communication between project teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Oversee workforce planning and subcontractor performance to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and company standards.
  • Drive successful project delivery while maintaining exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Utilize construction technology tools such as Bluebeam and/or Primavera P6 when applicable.
  • Manage one project at a time, allowing for dedicated focus and hands-on leadership.

The Successful Applicant

The Superintendent - Multifamily Construction - Richmond, VA will have:

  • Previous experience as a Superintendent or Lead Superintendent with responsibility for leading projects independently.
  • Strong background in multifamily interior renovations, occupied renovations, adaptive reuse, or repositioning projects.
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors, schedules, safety, quality, and project budgets.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to coordinate diverse project teams.
  • Experience with Bluebeam and/or Primavera P6 is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of wood-frame construction required; exposure to concrete and steel projects is a plus.
  • Ability to lead projects ranging from $60M to $200M in value.
  • Must be comfortable working on-site in the Richmond, VA area.
