Job Description

  • Lead all day-to-day field operations on multifamily construction projects, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Champion a culture of safety by enforcing company policies and compliance with OSHA, HAZCOM, NFPA, and all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring critical path activities are effectively monitored and executed.
  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, inspectors, and ownership representatives throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Mentor and supervise Assistant Superintendents, Project Engineers, and field personnel while fostering professional development and team growth.
  • Maintain complete and accurate project documentation, including daily reports, as-built drawings, site logistics plans, and quality control records.
  • Conduct pre-construction site assessments and document existing conditions prior to mobilization.
  • Manage site logistics, material deliveries, equipment staging, temporary facilities, and site access to maximize efficiency.
  • Perform regular quality inspections and proactively address punch list and deficiency items.
  • Partner with Project Management teams to monitor project budgets, identify cost impacts, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with contract documents, company standards, and turnover requirements.

The Successful Applicant

  • 5-7+ years of construction experience in a lead Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, or field leadership capacity.
  • Multifamily construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors, schedules, safety programs, and field operations on ground-up construction projects.
  • Ability to lead teams, build relationships, and effectively communicate with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Experience utilizing construction management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred but not required.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends based on project needs.
  • Willingness to travel locally throughout the DMV region to active job sites.
