Job Description

  • Lead all on-site construction activities from project startup through completion.
  • Enforce company safety programs and maintain compliance with OSHA and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Develop a deep understanding of project scope, schedule, and construction sequencing.
  • Create, maintain, and update critical path construction schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Manage daily operations of subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
  • Mentor and develop Assistant Superintendents and Project Engineers through hands-on leadership and training.
  • Maintain accurate as-built drawings and coordinate documentation with subcontractors.
  • Oversee site logistics including temporary facilities, material staging, equipment movement, traffic coordination, and site access.
  • Conduct pre-construction site assessments and document existing conditions.
  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for ownership groups, consultants, inspectors, and trade partners.
  • Monitor project progress, subcontractor performance, punch list completion, and safety compliance.
  • Partner with project management teams to control costs and maintain budget objectives.
  • Identify site-related risks and proactively address potential schedule and cost impacts.

The Successful Applicant

  • 5-7+ years of construction experience in a lead field supervisory role.
  • Previous multifamily construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred, but not required.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors in an active construction environment.
  • Experience utilizing construction management technology such as Procore, Primavera P6, and Bluebeam.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when project demands require.
  • Willingness to travel locally between project sites.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
