Job Description

  • Lead all field operations and daily project execution from mobilization through closeout.
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to maintain project schedule, quality, and budget goals.
  • Develop and execute short-term look-ahead schedules and coordinate trade activities.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety requirements and promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Conduct site walks, inspections, and quality control reviews to ensure work meets project specifications.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to resolve field issues and maintain project momentum.
  • Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for clients, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
  • Direct workforce planning, material deliveries, equipment utilization, and overall site logistics.
  • Monitor productivity, identify risks, and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Maintain accurate project records, reports, and site documentation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent should have:

  • Experience managing construction projects, preferably in naval facilities or similar environments.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and quality control practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage on-site teams effectively.
  • Ability to resolve issues and adapt to changing project needs.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
