Job Description

The Superintendent will be responsible for:

  • Providing overall leadership for all on-site construction activities and daily field operations.
  • Coordinating and managing subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams to ensure efficient execution.
  • Monitoring project schedules and proactively planning upcoming work activities to maintain milestones.
  • Overseeing quality control measures and ensuring work is completed to project specifications.
  • Enforcing site safety standards and maintaining compliance with OSHA and project-specific requirements.
  • Facilitating communication between project stakeholders, including owners, consultants, tenants, and trade partners.
  • Identifying field challenges and implementing practical solutions to minimize delays and disruptions.
  • Supporting project reporting, workforce planning, and site logistics throughout the construction lifecycle.
  • Leading by example while fostering a collaborative and productive project environment.
  • Assisting with the successful delivery of a major aviation infrastructure project through April 2029.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent should have:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of construction experience with demonstrated leadership responsibility.
  • Current OSHA 10 certification required.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications, or the ability to obtain them prior to project start.
  • Strong understanding of multiple construction trades and sequencing of work.
  • Proven ability to plan, forecast, and execute project activities in accordance with established schedules.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage both direct employees and subcontractor teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to quickly learn and apply new information.
  • Experience working on large-scale commercial, aviation, federal, military, or infrastructure projects preferred.
