MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantThe ideal Building and Construction Superintendent- Rochester, NY, candidate will have:5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial constructionA proven track record of successfully managing projects from start to finishStrong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage subcontractors and field personnelExcellent communication, scheduling, and problem-solving abilitiesThorough knowledge of construction methods, safety standards, and quality control proceduresAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsExperience coordinating multiple trades and managing project logisticsHighly Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience working in the trades, particularly masonry or other hands-on construction disciplinesExperience progressing from a skilled trades or field role into construction leadershipSignificant multi-family construction experienceExperience overseeing apartment, residential, mixed-use, or multi-family developmentsStable work history with reputable regional contractorsStrong understanding of both structural and finish phases of constructionCandidates who began their careers in the field, especially those with masonry experience, and later advanced into Superintendent roles will be highly regarded.
