Our client is an established general contractor in Bridgeport, CT with a strong presence throughout Connecticut, specializing in complex ground-up construction projects across multiple market sectors. Their portfolio includes multifamily, mixed-use, commercial, and institutional developments ranging from several million dollars to large-scale landmark projects. Due to continued growth and a strong backlog of work, they are seeking an experienced Superintendent to join their team.

Job Description

As the Superintendent, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage all day-to-day field operations on assigned projects
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel
  • Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with project management teams
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans and specifications
  • Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality standards
  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements
  • Identify and resolve field issues proactively
  • Lead subcontractor meetings and coordinate project logistics
  • Track project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
  • Support project closeout activities and punch list completion

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent should have:

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience on ground-up construction projects
  • Experience managing projects from sitework through turnover
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • OSHA certification preferred
  • Experience with multifamily, commercial, mixed-use, or institutional projects is a plus
