Job Description

  • Lead and oversee all field operations for sitework and heavy civil construction projects.
  • Manage daily activities related to excavation, grading, earthwork, utilities, drainage, paving, and infrastructure installation.
  • Coordinate and supervise field crews, foremen, subcontractors, and equipment operators.
  • Ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor production rates, project schedules, and manpower allocation to meet milestones and deadlines.
  • Plan and coordinate equipment, materials, and labor resources to maximize productivity.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify quality standards and adherence to project specifications.
  • Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and unforeseen site conditions.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, owners, inspectors, and utility representatives.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules with field teams.
  • Maintain daily reports, track progress, and document project activities.
  • Oversee excavation support, utility installation, stormwater systems, roadwork, and other civil infrastructure components.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, erosion control requirements, and permit conditions.
  • Manage project budgets at the field level by controlling labor, equipment usage, and material waste.
  • Drive project completion through strong leadership, communication, and proactive problem-solving.

  • Experience managing labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor performance to maximize productivity.
  • Commitment to maintaining high-quality workmanship and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Effective communicator capable of collaborating with project managers, engineers, inspectors, clients, and utility providers.
