Job Description

As a Building and Construction Superintendent, you will:

  • Oversee all on-site construction activities from project start through completion.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure milestones are achieved.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Enforce safety policies and promote a culture of workplace safety.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, and Owners.
  • Identify and resolve construction challenges proactively.
  • Monitor project progress, productivity, and resource allocation.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and field records.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to client expectations.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Building and Construction Superintendent candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and project stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with project scheduling and construction management software.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality assurance.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • OSHA certification preferred.
  • A results-driven mindset with exceptional organizational skills.
