Job Description

As a Building and Construction Superintendent, you will:

  • Manage all on-site construction activities from start to finish
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
  • Develop and maintain project schedules
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and project specifications
  • Conduct daily site inspections and safety meetings
  • Communicate project progress with project management teams and clients
  • Identify and resolve field issues proactively
  • Monitor manpower, productivity, and project milestones
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety requirements
  • Support successful project closeout and turnover activities

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Building and Construction candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Proven experience managing schedules, subcontractors, and field operations
  • Thorough understanding of construction methods, safety practices, and building codes
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents
  • Experience with educational, institutional, or public-sector projects preferred
  • K-12 construction experience is highly desirable and will be strongly preferred
  • Experience overseeing school additions, renovations, or new K-12 facilities is a significant advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget
