Job Description

Key Responsibilities of a Superintendent:

  • Manage all on-site construction activities from project kickoff through completion.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel.
  • Ensure projects meet safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Monitor project schedules and proactively address delays or challenges.
  • Conduct site inspections and maintain accurate daily reports.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and site logistics.
  • Resolve field issues efficiently to keep projects on track.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
  • Lead site meetings and communicate progress updates to key stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent should have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry.
  • Proven track record overseeing commercial, residential, or mixed-use construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety requirements, and building codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades on active job sites.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office.
  • OSHA certification preferred.
