Job Description

As a Building and Construction Superintendent, you will:

  • Oversee daily field operations from preconstruction through project completion
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and onsite personnel
  • Maintain project schedules and ensure milestone completion
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce safety standards
  • Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with quality requirements
  • Coordinate site logistics and sequencing activities
  • Participate in project meetings and communicate progress updates
  • Identify and resolve field issues proactively
  • Maintain project documentation and site reports
  • Support successful project turnover and closeout



A significant portion of the project portfolio includes K-12 construction, making previous experience working in occupied schools, school additions, renovations, and educational facilities extremely beneficial.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Superintendent candidate will possess:

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience within commercial construction
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proven ability to manage schedules, subcontractors, and site operations
  • Thorough understanding of construction means, methods, and safety requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with commercial, institutional, or public-sector projects



Highly Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct K-12 construction experience
  • Experience managing school additions, renovations, and new school construction
  • Experience working in occupied educational environments
  • Understanding of school schedules, phasing requirements, and site safety around students and faculty
  • Familiarity with public school construction procedures and stakeholder coordination
