Job Description

As a Building and Construction Superintendent in Buffalo, NY you will:

  • Lead all day-to-day field operations on assigned projects
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and onsite personnel
  • Develop and maintain project schedules
  • Enforce jobsite safety policies and OSHA compliance
  • Monitor construction quality and ensure adherence to plans and specifications
  • Conduct site inspections and subcontractor meetings
  • Coordinate material deliveries and site logistics
  • Identify and resolve field issues proactively
  • Track project progress and communicate updates to project stakeholders
  • Maintain daily reports and project documentation
  • Manage punch-list completion and project closeout activities

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Building and Construction Superintendent in Buffalo, NY candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial or residential construction
  • Proven ability to manage projects from start to finish
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades
  • Thorough knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequencing
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety standards
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills



Preferred Qualifications

  • Multi-family residential construction experience
  • Mixed-use development experience
  • Experience with renovation and adaptive reuse projects
  • Background managing occupied or phased construction projects
  • Familiarity with urban development and community-focused projects
