Job Description

  • Lead and manage all onsite construction activities from groundbreaking through project completion.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
  • Develop and maintain short-term and long-term project schedules.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and enforce safety regulations and company policies.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to achieve project objectives.
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, field issues, and construction challenges.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
  • Manage site logistics, equipment, and material deliveries.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Building and Construction Superintendent should have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent within commercial construction.
  • Experience managing projects ranging from $5M to $50M+ preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and quality control practices.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple trades and subcontractors effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, and other construction management software.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of local construction regulations and safety standards.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local project sites.
