Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all onsite construction operations from project startup through completion.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules while proactively addressing potential delays.
  • Enforce safety policies and maintain compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Monitor project quality and ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and maintain project documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to align field operations with project goals.
  • Manage site logistics, material deliveries, and workforce planning.
  • Lead subcontractor meetings and coordinate project activities.
  • Resolve field issues and communicate solutions effectively with project stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulatory requirements.
  • Support project closeout activities, punch lists, and final inspections.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Building and Construction Superintendent should have:

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction.
  • Proven experience managing projects from groundbreaking to closeout.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and quality control processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and other construction management software.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
