Job Description

As a Building and Construction in Pittsford, NY (Rochester) Project Superintendent, you will:

  • Lead all onsite construction operations for mid-sized to large projects.
  • Manage daily safety, production, scheduling, and quality control activities.
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, and trade partners.
  • Create and maintain project schedules and three-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Participate in preconstruction planning, budgeting, and schedule development.
  • Monitor submittals, long-lead materials, and project documentation.
  • Conduct weekly jobsite meetings and maintain daily logs.
  • Review plans, shop drawings, permits, and contract documents.
  • Perform quality control inspections and oversee punch-list completion.
  • Identify and resolve jobsite issues quickly and effectively.
  • Support cost control efforts through value engineering and efficient field operations.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Building and Construction in Pittsford, NY (Rochester) Project Superintendent candidate will have:

  • 5-7+ years of construction experience in a Superintendent or similar leadership role.
  • Strong experience managing commercial construction projects.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, blueprints, and shop drawings.
  • Proven experience coordinating subcontractors and field personnel.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, quality control, and project execution.
  • Ability to prioritize manpower, materials, and equipment effectively.
  • A collaborative approach with a strong commitment to safety and accountability.
