We are seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to support the successful delivery of complex mission critical data center construction projects. This role works closely with the Superintendent and project team to coordinate daily field operations, maintain safety and quality standards, and ensure work is executed according to project schedules and client expectations.

Job Description

  • Assist the Superintendent in managing all day-to-day field operations on data center construction projects.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, trade partners, vendors, and field personnel to maintain project schedules and milestones.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific safety programs.
  • Participate in daily planning meetings, safety meetings, and subcontractor coordination meetings.
  • Monitor installation activities to verify proper sequencing, productivity, and workmanship.
  • Assist in maintaining short-interval schedules and identifying potential impacts to the project timeline.
  • Track material deliveries, equipment usage, and site logistics to support uninterrupted workflow.
  • Prepare and maintain daily reports, field documentation, safety records, and quality control logs.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing activities, and turnover requirements.
  • Support punch list completion, commissioning activities, and project closeout efforts.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, trade partners, and project stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum of 1 years of construction field experience with commercial, industrial, advanced technology, or mission critical projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and schedules.
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, safety requirements, and quality control processes.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software platforms.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights or weekends when project demands require.
  • Experience on mission critical, data center, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or highly technical construction projects.
  • Knowledge of MEP systems, commissioning processes, and critical infrastructure environments.
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, BIM/VDC coordination, and scheduling software.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Experience supporting construction activities in active or operational critical facility environments.
