As the company continues to expand into key markets nationwide, they are seeking a motivated Traveling Assistant Superintendent to support field operations and contribute to the successful execution of multifamily projects throughout the country.

Job Description

  • Assist the Superintendent with the daily management of ground-up multifamily construction projects from site development through project completion.
  • Support field operations by coordinating subcontractors, vendors, material deliveries, and project logistics.
  • Monitor jobsite activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project plans and specifications.
  • Conduct regular site walks to track progress, identify issues, and help maintain construction quality standards.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating project schedules to ensure milestone and completion dates are achieved.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing requirements, and punch list activities throughout the construction process.
  • Support implementation and enforcement of jobsite safety programs and OSHA compliance requirements.
  • Work closely with trade partners to ensure proper sequencing and coordination of work.
  • Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders to assist with field execution.
  • Maintain daily reports, project documentation, and progress tracking records.
  • Participate in subcontractor meetings, safety meetings, and coordination meetings.
  • Assist with project closeout activities, including turnover documentation and final inspections.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Architects, Engineers, and Ownership representatives to support successful project delivery.
  • Travel nationally and relocate to assigned project sites for the duration of each project.

The ideal candidate is a driven construction professional looking to advance their career with a nationally recognized contractor. They possess hands-on experience with multifamily construction projects and enjoy working in the field while supporting project teams through all phases of construction.

Qualifications include:

  • 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent, Field Engineer, or similar field leadership role.
  • Ground-up multifamily construction experience preferred.
  • Understanding of construction sequencing, site operations, and building systems.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and supporting daily jobsite activities.
  • Familiarity with sitework, concrete, framing, exterior finishes, MEP systems, and interior finishes.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality control.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel nationally and remain on-site for assigned projects.
  • Desire to grow into a Superintendent role and build a long-term career in construction leadership.
