Job Description

  • Assist the Superintendent with the day-to-day management of field operations on ground-up commercial construction projects.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project plans and specifications.
  • Support the development and maintenance of project schedules and monitor progress against key milestones.
  • Conduct regular site walks to verify workmanship, quality standards, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Help enforce company safety policies and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
  • Participate in subcontractor meetings, owner meetings, and internal project planning discussions.
  • Assist with inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities.
  • Maintain project documentation, daily reports, progress photos, and field records.
  • Identify and communicate potential schedule delays, quality concerns, and jobsite issues to project leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, architects, engineers, and subcontractors throughout the construction process.
  • Support logistics planning, material deliveries, and site coordination efforts to ensure uninterrupted project progress.
  • Travel as needed to support projects in various locations across the United States.

The Successful Applicant

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial construction, preferably in a field leadership, assistant superintendent, or project engineering capacity.
  • Experience supporting ground-up construction projects valued at $10M+ is highly preferred.
  • Exposure to multifamily, retail, mixed-use, industrial, hospitality, or other large-scale commercial construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, site logistics, scheduling, safety requirements, and quality control processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with subcontractors, clients, and project stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and standard Microsoft Office applications.
  • OSHA training and safety-focused mindset preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel on a long-term basis to project locations nationwide.
  • Team-oriented attitude with a strong desire to grow into a Superintendent role.
