Job Description

The Traveling Superintendent - Commercial/Multifamily Construction will be responsible for:

  • Managing all day-to-day field operations for multifamily and commercial construction projects ranging up to $20M+ in value.
  • Leading project scheduling, subcontractor coordination, safety compliance, quality control, and project execution from groundbreaking through closeout.
  • Serving as the primary on-site leader responsible for driving project success, meeting deadlines, and maintaining budget objectives.
  • Coordinating with project managers, owners, architects, and subcontractors to ensure seamless communication and project delivery.
  • Utilizing ProjectSight (Trimble) and Microsoft Project to manage documentation, reporting, and scheduling activities.
  • Supporting multiple projects throughout the Southeast region as business needs require, with company-provided travel accommodations.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Traveling Superintendent - Commercial/Multifamily Construction will have:

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience leading ground-up commercial or multifamily construction projects.
  • Strong preference for candidates with multifamily, podium-style, structural steel, or hard commercial construction experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently oversee large-scale projects and lead all field operations without direct supervision.
  • Proven track record managing subcontractors, project schedules, safety programs, and quality standards.
  • Comfortable traveling throughout NC, SC, TN, WV, FL, and GA for project assignments.
  • Experience with construction management software and project scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Procore, ProjectSight, or similar platforms.
