Our client is a well‑established, privately owned construction contractor with more than three decades of experience delivering high‑quality education facilities across the Southeast. Founded in the late 1980s, the business has built a strong reputation as a specialist in K-12 construction, which represents the vast majority of its work, complemented by select higher education and specialty projects.

Job Description

As K-12 Superintendent, you will report to senior operations leadership and be responsible for end-to-end site execution on major education projects.

  • Lead day-to-day site operations on ground-up K-12 projects valued at $20M+
  • Manage schedules, site logistics, safety, quality, and subcontractor performance
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, owners, architects, and inspectors
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to district standards
  • Enforce safety programs and maintain a strong culture of accountability on site
  • Mentor field staff and contribute to continuous improvement across operations
  • Represent the company professionally with school districts and repeat clients

The Successful Applicant

For the K-12 Superintendent role, we are seeking:

  • Proven experience delivering ground-up K-12 construction projects
  • Track record on projects $15M-$20M+ in value
  • Strong understanding of school district requirements, inspections, and phasing
  • Background with concrete, masonry, or self-perform trades preferred
  • Ability to travel or be located anywhere in the Southeast United States
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with construction scheduling and field management software
