Job Description

  • Lead all on-site construction operations from mobilization through project completion.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and daily field activities.
  • Maintain project schedules and proactively address potential delays.
  • Enforce site safety standards and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Monitor workmanship and quality control throughout all project phases.
  • Conduct subcontractor meetings and coordinate field logistics.
  • Collaborate with project managers, owners, architects, and consultants.
  • Manage project documentation, daily reports, punch lists, and closeout activities.
  • Travel as required to support projects across multiple geographic regions.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Traveling Superintendent should have:

  • Experience serving as a Superintendent on commercial or light industrial construction projects.
  • Strong background managing ground-up construction projects through completion.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple trades and maintain project schedules.
  • Knowledge of construction safety practices, quality control, and field operations.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively for project assignments.
  • Experience with warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, transportation, service facility, or related commercial projects is an advantage.
  • Proficiency with construction reporting and project documentation systems is beneficial.
