Our client is an established commercial construction company headquartered in Southern New Hampshire with nearly two decades of success delivering complex renovations, historic restorations, design-build projects, mechanical upgrades, and facilities maintenance work. Job Description

  • Lead all day-to-day field operations on a federal historic restoration project
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel to ensure project success
  • Maintain project schedules, quality standards, and safety compliance
  • Conduct site meetings and communicate progress with project stakeholders
  • Oversee project documentation, daily reports, and field logistics
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with contract documents and specifications
  • Identify and resolve field issues proactively to minimize project delays
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture on site while maintaining accountability

The Successful Applicant

A successful Traveling Superintendent should have:

  • 5-10 years of experience in a Superintendent role within commercial construction
  • Experience managing renovation, restoration, municipal, federal, or commercial projects
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, and safety practices
  • Proven ability to lead subcontractors and coordinate multiple trades
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with historic restoration projects is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
  • Willingness to travel and temporarily reside near project locations when required



Current ProjectThe successful candidate will initially lead the complete renovation and historic restoration of a border crossing station in Derby, Vermont. The project is expected to continue through early 2027 and offers housing assistance and per diem support for candidates residing outside the immediate area.
