About Our Client

A global industrial manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced US Controller to lead finance and accounting activities for a sizeable U.S. manufacturing business. This highly visible leadership role combines traditional controllership responsibilities with strategic business partnership, operational finance, forecasting, and team leadership.

Reporting to the Division Controller, the successful candidate will serve as a key member of the finance leadership team, partnering closely with operations and executive leadership to drive performance, improve processes, and support the achievement of business objectives.

Job Description

  • Lead all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning for the U.S. business.
  • Partner with operations leadership to improve profitability, productivity, and overall business performance.
  • Drive forecasting accuracy, financial analysis, and performance reporting.
  • Analyze business results and communicate trends, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Lead and develop an established accounting and finance team.
  • Ensure strong internal controls, compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Support capital investment decisions through financial modeling, ROI analysis, and business case development.
  • Drive process improvements, operational efficiencies, and best practices across the organization.
  • Serve as a trusted business partner to both finance and non-finance leaders.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Progressive experience in accounting and finance leadership roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong controllership experience, including financial reporting, internal controls, forecasting, and compliance.
  • Proven ability to partner with operations and influence business decisions.
  • Experience leading and developing teams, including direct people management responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated success implementing process improvements, SOPs, and operational efficiencies.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information to diverse audiences.
  • Experience navigating complex, high-pressure business environments, including transformation, turnaround, growth, or acquisition-related situations.
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems experience.
  • Experience with Power BI and/or Power Query.
