About Our Client

Our client is a global industrial manufacturer with ties to the UK, Europe, APAC. This is a remote opportunity based in a global procurement team.

Job Description

  • Translate global category strategies into effective regional execution in the US.
  • Drive localization and supplier development to ensure regional supply performance.
  • Focus on regional cost competitiveness and resilience across mostly direct categories.
  • Execute approved sourcing actions and coordinate with Operational teams for implementation
  • Lead local execution of supplier development plans.
  • Provide market intelligence to Category Management.
  • Partner with regional Operations/Supply Chain and site leaders.
  • Reporting to a global procurement lead headquartered in the EU.

The Successful Applicant

A successful US Regional Procurement Lead should have:

  • Broad category management skills, having covered both direct and indirect spend.
  • Desirable: previously worked for industries such as pharmaceutical, aerospace, biotech, automotive manufacturing or related regulated industry.
  • Excellent procurement/sourcing experience within industrial supply chains, with strong regional market knowledge.
  • ability to execute end to end sourcing and supplier development programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related degree.
  • Ability to operate and work within a global team with varying time zones.
  • Pragmatic and idea generating professional with excellent communications skills.
