Job Description

The Vice President - Loan Originations (Commercial Real Estate Debt) will report into the Managing Director for the Real Estate Credit platform and take ownership of deal generation and execution:

  • Source and originate new construction and mezzanine lending opportunities with commercial real estate developers in the retail sector
  • Build and maintain relationships with sponsors, borrowers, and intermediaries to drive consistent deal flow
  • Structure and negotiate loan terms in partnership with internal underwriting teams
  • Manage the transaction lifecycle from initial screening through closing
  • Maintain a disciplined pipeline to achieve annual production targets
  • Collaborate closely with underwriting resources to ensure efficient execution
  • Track market activity and competitor positioning to identify new opportunities

The Successful Applicant

For the Vice President - Loan Originations (Commercial Real Estate Debt) we are seeking:

  • Demonstrated experience originating commercial real estate loans (construction, bridge, or mezzanine preferred)
  • Existing relationships with developers, sponsors, or relevant intermediaries
  • Proven ability to source and close transactions independently
  • Strong understanding of loan structuring, leverage, and risk considerations
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in a performance-driven, commission-based environment
  • Ability to balance autonomy with collaboration alongside underwriting partners
