Job Description

As VP, Application Support, you will be responsible for providing high-touch support for front-office Fixed Income trading applications, ensuring platform stability, rapid issue resolution, and exceptional service to business users.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide hands-on application support for Fixed Income trading platforms across Rates and Credit businesses.
  • Act as the primary technology contact for traders, sales teams, and front-office users.
  • Monitor production systems and proactively identify issues impacting trading activity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application, workflow, data, and trade processing issues in a fast-paced trading environment.
  • Partner closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to drive issue resolution and platform improvements.
  • Manage production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.
  • Support system releases, upgrades, and change management processes.
  • Maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders across the trading floor.
  • Analyze support trends and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and user experience.
  • Contribute to automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency and platform stability.
  • Participate in on-call support rotations as required.

The Successful Applicant

Proven experience supporting Fixed Income trading applications within an investment bank or capital markets environment.

Strong understanding of Rates, Credit, and front-office trading workflows.

Experience providing direct support to traders and business users on the trading floor.

Hands-on troubleshooting skills across complex production environments.

Strong knowledge of trade lifecycle management, market data, and order management systems.

Ability to diagnose issues across applications, databases, and infrastructure components.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience managing production incidents and working within high-pressure environments.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Knowledge of SQL, UNIX/Linux, scripting, and monitoring tools is highly desirable.

Ability to balance technical expertise with outstanding customer service and business engagement.

Location: Midtown Manhattan, New York.

Working Pattern: Hybrid, 3 days per week in the office.
