Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsExposure across fin reporting, consolidations, SOX, and intercompany accounting.Opportunity to join a collaborative finance team at an investment banking firm.About Our ClientA leading independent investment banking advisory firm that provides strategic advice on mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other complex financial transactionsJob DescriptionOwn the preparation and review of financial reporting for multiple regulated entities, including corporate, partnership, and broker-dealer structures.Support the close and audit cycle by developing audit-ready schedules, maintaining strong internal controls, and acting as a primary contact for both internal and external audit teams.Partner with accounting, finance, and operational groups to ensure accurate recording of transactions across domestic and international entities, including general ledger oversight and invoice validation.Manage investment accounting activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of related subsidiary records.Contribute to the consolidation process by preparing elimination entries, validating results, and assisting in the production of consolidated financial statements.Help prepare consolidated cash flow reporting and stockholders' equity activity while strengthening supporting documentation and control frameworks.Review and prepare journal entries as part of the month-end close process, including reclassifications, investment-related adjustments, and other accounting transactions.Work closely with the SEC Reporting and Accounting Policy teams to support regulatory filings and ensure adherence to accounting guidance.Provide additional coverage for treasury and cash management responsibilities when required.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
