Our client is an established manufacturer specializing in high-reliability electromechanical motion control systems serving aerospace, defense, and other highly regulated industries. They design and manufacture custom products from concept through production and continue to invest heavily in engineering excellence, operational growth, and leadership development.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering organization while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the complete engineering lifecycle, including design, testing, validation, and manufacturing support.
  • Improve engineering efficiency, product quality, manufacturing readiness, and testing throughput.
  • Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives to support scalable production.
  • Partner closely with operations, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial leadership to improve business performance.
  • Serve as the technical leader during customer meetings and new business pursuits.
  • Mentor and develop future engineering leaders while strengthening organizational capability.
  • Support strategic growth initiatives and engineering decisions that positively impact profitability and operational performance.

The Successful Applicant

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive engineering leadership within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in electromechanical systems, including motors, actuators, motion control products, or similar technologies.
  • Experience leading engineering organizations supporting both product development and production environments.
  • Demonstrated success improving engineering execution, manufacturing performance, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Customer-facing leadership experience with the ability to support technical sales and business growth.
  • Aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
