Job Description

  • Lead and supervise second-shift production and assembly operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
  • Coordinate daily manufacturing activities and establish production priorities to support customer demand.
  • Drive a strong safety culture by enforcing safety procedures and ensuring appropriate use of PPE.
  • Manage employee performance, attendance, timekeeping, overtime, and workforce scheduling.
  • Coach, mentor, train, and develop team members to enhance individual and team performance.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training initiatives for new employees.
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce operational issues, and improve product quality.
  • Monitor machine operation and production output, taking corrective action when required.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges and support continuous improvement projects.
  • Maintain accurate production records, labor tracking, and reporting.
  • Ensure quality standards are consistently achieved throughout the shift.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and effective communication across the operation.
  • Respond appropriately to production issues, equipment concerns, and workplace incidents.
  • Maintain organized work areas and support workplace housekeeping and lean manufacturing initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will bring previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environment and will have a strong understanding of machining and manufacturing processes.Key qualifications and attributes include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; further education is advantageous.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and motivating employees in a manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of CNC machining processes, equipment, and production operations.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of production planning, quality standards, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing software.
  • Knowledge of employment practices, attendance management, and performance management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement operational efficiencies.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and capable of leading by example on the production floor.
