As the Accounting Manager, you will be a key financial member of the accounting team, working closely with the senior leaders and providing financial information to impact operating decisions. This individual will be a pivotal contributor to the month-end close process, working directly with the Controller who will be mentoring this individual within multiple facets of accounting and finance and soon take over their role.

About Our Client

My client is a $200M national manufacturing company that creates products for the Automotive, Aerospace, Defense, Machinery, Rail, and Oil/Gas industries. They've been in business for over 110 years and are still continuing to grow. With this new Accounting Manager position you will be able to learn the business and take on Controller duties in the near future.

Job Description

  • Assist the Controller in monthly and quarterly submission of financial results
  • Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare journal entries ensuring all accounting events are properly recorded in the general ledger and properly reported in the financial statements
  • Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions
  • Ad hoc analysis as needed
  • Assistance with special projects as needed

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 6+ years of experience
  • Manufacturing, Distribution or CPG industry experience
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills
  • Strong communication
