The Assistant Project Manager will support the successful delivery of commercial construction and interior projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role works closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, clients, and field teams to keep projects on schedule, on budget, and aligned with quality standards.

Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager will:

  • Support Project Managers in planning, executing, and closing construction projects.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and internal project teams.
  • Track project schedules, budgets, procurement activities, and key milestones.
  • Assist with contract administration, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Monitor project costs and help maintain budget compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate project updates to clients, stakeholders, and field personnel.
  • Review project reports and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Facilitate coordination between construction teams and specialty trade partners.
  • Assist with quality control efforts and support resolution of project challenges.
  • Help manage complex renovations, corporate interiors, secure facilities, and building improvement projects.
  • Support project closeout activities, including punch list management and turnover documentation.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient project environment.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Project Manager should have:

  • Experience supporting commercial construction projects in a project engineering, coordinator, or assistant project management capacity.
  • Understanding of construction project management processes and documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with project management and construction documentation tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with field and office teams.
