The Assistant Project Manager will support the successful delivery of negotiated commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Working closely with Project Managers and Superintendents, this individual will gain hands-on exposure to project planning, financial management, client relations, subcontractor coordination, and project execution.

Job Description

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects.
  • Support project managers in maintaining project schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays promptly.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and records.
  • Participate in on-site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to provide updates and resolve any concerns.
  • Assist in managing project risks and implementing solutions to mitigate them.

The Successful Applicant

  • 1-5 years of construction experience
  • Experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar role
  • Ground-up commercial construction experience required
  • Hospitality or hotel construction experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with negotiated work environments preferred
  • Strong client-facing communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with owners, architects, and trade partners
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
