Job Description

As an Assistant Project Manager - Construction - New Haven, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting Project Managers throughout all phases of project delivery
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and project cost tracking
  • Managing RFIs, submittals, and change order logs
  • Coordinating subcontractors, consultants, architects, engineers, and ownership teams
  • Assisting with procurement and contract administration
  • Maintaining project schedules and milestone updates
  • Tracking project documentation and reporting requirements
  • Participating in project meetings and preparing meeting minutes
  • Supporting field operations and coordinating with Superintendents
  • Assisting with affordable housing compliance and reporting requirements
  • Monitoring project progress and helping resolve project issues
  • Supporting project turnover and closeout activities

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in Project Engineering, Project Coordination, or Assistant Project Management
  • Experience with affordable housing, multifamily, or mixed-use construction projects
  • Understanding of construction documentation and project controls
  • Knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and scheduling
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and related software
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Desire to advance into a Project Manager role
